For the second year running, I have won a regional award at the Wedding Industry Awards. I am now the London and South East Wedding Photographer of the Year! This is an amazing award as it is mainly based on votes cast by my couples from the past 12 months. I was blown away at the sheer number that took the time to go and not only vote but leave so many amazing comments not only about my wedding photography but how they enjoyed the experience.
In July 2012, I was asked by the BBC if they could film me for The One Show for a short film on Wedding Photography. It was a very nerve wracking experience but a fantastic one at the same time. They were with me for about half the day following me from preparations in the morning through to just before the wedding breakfast. The film was shown in the late summer and it was an amazing experience! Not many wedding photographers have had a 5 minute advert on the BBC at prime time! Click HERE to see the film.
I was delighted to be named Wedding Photographer of the Year 2012 for SW England (I moved away from London and the South East for a year before returning). This was such an important award for me as it was voted for by previous couples that had experienced my service from initial meeting through to their wedding day and beyond. I was then shortlisted for the National Award where I narrowly missed out but was still in the top 5 in the country. I have been nominated again in 2013 which is fantastic. The Wedding Photojournalist Association holds a quarterly competition which attracts thousands of entries from all over the world. They award natural and unposed moments caught by the photographer. I enter every quarter and was absolutely delighted to win the category of Speeches in 2012. Click here for more about this award
The first time I entered the WPJA awards, I came 13th in the category for ‘Emotion’. This is such a highly contested category as wedding images are so often associated with the emotion of the entire day. Click here for more about this award

When you photograph a late afternoon wedding in winter lit purely by candles, you hope you can do the beauty of the wedding justice. Sam & Neil were delighted with their images and they were also shown on ‘Whimsical Wonderland Weddings’. You can see my original images HERE or the entry and interview on ‘WWW’ by clicking HERE
This was the wedding that lead to me being on the One Show. A beautiful early spring day at Clandon Park with so much emotion from all involved. This was featured on The Ebury Collection. You can see my original images HERE or the entry and interview on Ebury by clicking HERE
