Ealing Town Hall – My 200th Wedding!!!!!!
Just over 5 year ago, I photographed my first wedding. A lot has changed since then and this, my 200th wedding is a real landmark for me. Gavin and En Mins wedding was such a great day. The weather certainly wasn’t ideal in the classic sense but it helped me to get some creative portraits that are just not possible on a bright sunny day. They had put so much effort into the day. When the bridesmaids were getting En Min into her dress, they even had photos on their phones as a reference to how the dress should look from when it was tried on at the shop. The atmosphere when getting ready was so relaxed. En Min was in her dress early so I actually had time to get to the venue and Gavin and the wedding party before the ceremony (I am often about 30 seconds ahead of the bride).
After the ceremony, guests were treated to champagne and canapés in the Nelson Room while we spent a short time between showers getting some portraits. The atmosphere during dinner was great. I think the Gavin and En Min managed to get to every table to speak with their guests. The speeches were both emotional and funny with not only the usual speakers but also a family friend who has known En Min all her life. Sometimes it takes a while for the dance floor to get going. This certainly wasn’t the case here! From the first dance, everyone was up and enjoying themselves.
Thank you to both of you (especially En Min) for being happy to come out in the rain for a few night time shots. It was raining quite hard but hopefully worth it!
Here is a selection of photos from their wedding. I hope they convey the vibrancy and energy from the day. Please feel free to leave your comments below or a message for the bride and groom.
