Getting ready in her old bedroom seemed to have a very calming effect on Katie. As I arrived, she was taking everything in her stride and seemed very relaxed. Her brother was playing the piano downstairs and there was a lovely atmosphere.
Katie & Rich met at university and share a passion for creative writing and films. It was no surprise then that they chose Heatherden Hall at Pinewood Studios for their wedding celebrations. The movie theme continued throughout the day with all the tables named after films that were made at Pinewood. There was even a popcorn machine for guests in the evening.
After the wedding service, Katie and Rich managed to get some very rare time alone as they were driven in a 1930’s Lagonda to their reception. Rich had not written a speech but instead spoke from the heart. This was a funny and warming speech that captivated the whole room. Rich’s best man Richard not only made a great speech but has to be one of the most organised and efficient I have seen.
Earth Angel from Back to the Future started off the evenings dancing which when followed by Johnny B Goode, got the party started in a great way.
Here is just a small selection of images that hopefully give you a flavour of the day. Feel free to leave a comment or message below or ‘Like’ the post.
