I have said it before but I am very fortunate to work with the couples that choose me as their photographer. Davina & Mark are certainly no exception to this. The minute we first met we got on really well and that has continued over the past year. We had a slight inkling that the weather may not be on our side but it made no difference at all to the spirit of the day. I have never photographed such a big ceremony with about 300 people attending. It was such an upbeat wedding with a live band and one of the more entertaining Reverends that I have met. Davina and Mark have a very strong connection with the Church and Davinas brother even plays with the band.
With the recent weather, some brides may not have been that happy to go anywhere near soggy grass but thank you Davina for having no issues at all which helped me to capture a few couples shots before the wedding breakfast. The speeches were full of laughter as well as a tear or two and then came the party! Marks best man was also the DJ for the night and had the dance floor jumping all night. Initially with the kids and then everyone joined in. This was a really fun and emotional wedding that I was delighted to be part of.
