A lovely Letter from a bride and groom
I am so fortunate to do what I love for a living. Its hard work but I love giving couples memories from their weddings that they will treasure. Many couples stay in touch and I am very lucky to get great testimonials from couples. I received one the other night that blew me away. I received a text to say there was something waiting for me outside my gate. I couldn’t have missed the pink bag and was delighted when it contained a nice bottle of Moet (I do like fizz). What was much more touching was the note that was inside the thank you card. Its notes like this that make everything I do worthwhile. As a creative, we sometimes crave the round of applause. Below is the letter that I received.
Sorry for this delayed thank you note, we have struggled to put into words how amazed and delighted we are with the photos you captured at our wedding. They are sensational and way above our expectations and those of our friends and family. Your talent and love for your job shined through from the moment we met you and we really appreciated all your advice and guidance and for putting us at ease on the day. It was like having another friend at our wedding taking photos but also helping the day flow and giving us that additional time together to reflect and celebrate.
The reaction was phenomenal from everyone when you displayed the sneak peak slide show after the wedding breakfast. What a lovely surprise for us and highlighted what a fantastic reportage photographer you are to display such amazing photos without any editing!
We had the first peak of our wedding blog on an afternoon safari drive, and were overwhelmed by your post and spent that evening at the lodge laptop re-living the events of what was the most wonderful day of our lives. We were so impressed then, when a few days later you posted the slideshow video with even more fantastic photos and timed so perfectly to our chosen music. This is really a keepsake for a lifetime and tells the story of our wedding just beautifully and how we remembered it.
We always knew that the wedding photographer would be the most important supplier as he/she is the one that helps keep the memories of this momentous occasion. We also knew we wanted someone who could tell a story through the pjhotos and capture the emotion and joy of the day. Sean, you delivered in buckets and we would recommend you every time, I cannot begin to tell you how many stunning comments we have had on your photography and approach, your are a real star and have a very exciting future ahead.
The “Thank You” cards arrived yesterday and look lovely. Please feel free to use our comments as endorsements and look forward to voting for you as Photographer of the Year.
All the Best
Nicky and Robin
