Luke and Ellens wedding was one of the first this summer that we have not had to contend with the rain. Well for most of the day at least. As I arrived at Ellens parents, her father was handing out Champagne and Ellen was giving gifts to her bridesmaids which was a great start to the day. Ellen did for some unclear reason arrive just a little bit late for the ceremony and I witnessed my fastest ever wedding. From arrival down the aisle to the first kiss was just 6 minutes and 39 seconds! The ceremony room was decorated with bunting and also Jam Jars that Ellen had been collecting for ages! Their cake was fantastic and was a present from a friend of theirs.
The wedding breakfast started with the readings that were moved from the ceremony which was a lovely way to start the meal. This was followed by a surprise for one of the guests from each table. They were elected to carve the meat for each table. They were given hats and Jamie Oliver aprons and a very quick lesson in carving before dinner was served. The day flew by and once the first dance happened, everyone relaxed . Ellen threw her bouquet to a very eager collection of girls.
Here are a few images to show some of the day. Any comments or messages are very welcome.
